A person with a very high level of primal behaviors is more easily influenced by emotion and therefore instinct. To such people, logical and rational thinking is difficult and such people often live in a world of feelings and emotions, and not well-thought reason and logic.
Someone on the opposite end of that scale is someone who lives in a very reasoned and rational way, who is not as affected by emotion or their primal behaviors. Typically these people are of high intelligence, and have often learned through training, to block their instincts and emotions when it makes no sense to indulge in them.
